There are famous wineries. And then there is Château Rayas🤌🏻

The estate is hidden behind pine trees in Châteauneuf-du-Pape - and for decades, almost nobody knew what happened inside

What happened inside was this: Jacques Reynaud, and later his nephew Emmanuel, grew 100% Grenache on sand and limestone soils that most producers considered too poor for serious wine

Everyone else blended. Rayas didn’t🫡

The result is one of the most unusual wines in the world - pale in colour, impossibly delicate for an appellation known for power, and utterly unlike anything around it
