Safer Space guidelines
At State of Souls events and clubs, we follow safer space principles.
We strive to ensure that everyone is met as their authentic self, and that no one has to fear discrimination or harassment. Therefore, we ask everyone involved in our activities and events to commit to the following principles:
- We are equal and diverse. We are committed to anti-discrimination and anti-racism.
- We respect everyone’s right to self-determination and do not make assumptions about others, such as their gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, family relationships, or any other aspect of a person’s background.
- We intervene in cases of harassment and do not accept hate speech.
- You can report harassment and discuss safer space principles with the event organizers.
- We respect other people’s personal space and the environment.
- We respond with a low threshold if someone does not follow safer space principles. We intervene in harassment situations, for example by removing a person from the event.

State of Souls Operating Principles
- We want State of Souls to be a community where the collective spirit is visible to both volunteers and guests.
- We want to encourage and support members of the collective and everyone in the community to be the best version of themselves.
- State of Souls is a safer space where dance, music, and the community formed around them matter more than party culture alone.
- We want to bring dancers, DJs, and artists from all over Finland together.
- We want everyone to be able to work on projects they genuinely enjoy.
- If something raises questions, we figure it out together — collective communication is important to us❤️
