This is 𝗟𝘄𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗲. Lwa Cire is an 𝗔𝗡𝗬𝗨𝗔𝗞 𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗣 operating in Gambella Region. For years, members of the Gambella Regional Parliament have publicly acknowledged the existence of these terrorist Anyuak groups in the region and admitted the government’s failure to bring them before a court of law. Whenever these groups planned attacks, they retreated to the bush, later targeting public vehicles, including ambulances.
In their most recent attack in Abol Woreda, Lwa Cire militants brutally killed a pregnant woman, children, and numerous innocent civilians, including Highlanders who came to Gambella for UN work and for business purposes.
The rise of Lwa Cire has raised many questions, and Mrs President Alemitu Omod ignored calls to arrest their leaders because she is among the supporters who mobilised funds for this terrorist Anyuak group in the region. She claims these people were equipped by Anyuak zonal Administrators to protect Anyuak from the Murle tribe of South Sudan, who are known to raid and abduct children and women along with cattle. But they don't protect the Ethiopian territory, a good number of them came from the Pochalla, Great Pibor Administrative Area, Jonglei State, South Sudan and they have been a cause of insecurity in the region for decades.
These terrorist Anyuak groups are preparing to overthrow the Gambella Prosperity Party - ብልፅግና because the Prosperity Party Gambella Branch is being dominated by Nuer people, (Nuer Zone).
This is not a political disagreement, it is a fight against terrorism. The Gambella Regional Government must uphold the rule of law and arrest, disarm, and prosecute all Anyuak terrorist groups who are operating in the region.
