We are blown away but not surprised by all the initiatives in which our fellow members are contributing to fight against COVID-19.

From tackling the shortage of medical equipment by producing artificial ventilators such as "The Open Ventilator" or "Respiradores4All" to financially support local businesses with a marketplace where to buy, now, services to enjoy once the lockdown ends "Cuando Volvamos" or "GiveLocally". We’ve seen also projects to help students prepare their exams like "Universitarios contra la Pandemia", "YAS · yoteayudoconlasele", ideas to help our elders such as " ", hackathons like and many others.

Please let us know in the comments other initiatives that are contributing to eradicate the virus so we can all take part and do our bit.

Yet another great event with our friends and fellow Novas from FounderNest, this time led by his Co-founder Felix Gonzalez Herranz.

A few weeks ago we launched that will allow Novas to hire other members, build an advisory board of experts, and look for the right investors via our trusted partner FounderNest, a matchmaking platform where the best entrepreneurs and VCs can find each other efficiently and transparently.

Yesterday we dug into our dedicated section within their marketplace and discovered how easy it is for our members to create their company profile and start looking for investors to fund their projects from seed to Series A, a delicate stage for every entrepreneur.

We also understood how the COVID-19 crisis is affecting fundraising and the best practices for startups to be appealing to investors even during this market situation.

Thank you to the 100+ members who joined from all over Europe, we look forward to the upcoming on Employment Relations, Cybersecurity and the Transformation of Companies.

Last week we had the opportunity to hold a webinar on remote working with Charlotte Ekelund, Co-founder & CEO of Teemly.net and Shahab Sayardoust, psychologist and Managing Partner at Omino Business Psychology Advisors.

Remote working has become a reality for most of the companies today due to COVID-19 and not all of them were prepared to face a situation like this, in fact, no one was.

During the webinar, we were able to learn the best ways to keep the team spirit in place, techniques that we can use to maintain that sense of human relations even from distance (understanding we are missing small-talk, gestures, eye-contact...) and how will the future of remote working look like after this crisis.

We are excited to welcome Alice Guo to our community as March's , a monthly section in which we will be introducing the Nova member with the highest score in our selection process.

Alice studied her BSc. in Microbiology and Immunology with a minor in Commerce at The University of British Columbia and later did her MSc. in Global Population Health at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

She currently works in Switzerland for the World Health Organization improving access to life-changing technology.

Gracias a Lars-Henrik Friis Molin por compartir su experiencia con nosotros, con sus grandes historias de éxito, pero sobre todo con algunos fracasos que han forjado la mentalidad que tiene hoy en día.

Nova was founded to challenge the status quo on who is considered top talent. A holistic evaluation framework was designed in collaboration with Sweden’s most innovative companies, and an annual top list was launched in partnership with major media outlets – referred to as “Nova 100”. Novas were regarded as rising stars – people who shine a little bit brighter than their surroundings, and who are building up the energy to change the game. Naturally, companies wanted access to the alumni of Nova 100, and the Nova network was born.

Fast forward to 2018, and we have taken this concept to the next level; we measure 200 data points on each of our applicants and have raised the bar to create a truly vibrant global network for top talent. In order to maintain a healthy engagement level, a limited amount of memberships are issued on an annual basis.
