With heavy hearts, we share the passing of the owner of Zeffy’s Bush Bar & Grill, our beloved Steve Francis LaRonde (A.K.A Bush), who passed away on the 13th after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Bush was more than the owner of a bar — he was a pillar of the community. He was a man who believed in people, in creativity, in music, in food, and in bringing others together. Many artists, entrepreneurs, and dreamers found support in him. If you had an idea or a vision, Bush was often the first person ready to help make it happen.

His generosity, kindness, and unwavering support touched countless lives. Even when things were difficult, he always found a way to help others.

To us, he was not only a leader but a friend, a mentor, and someone who truly cared about the people around him.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, his children, and everyone who loved him. During this time, we ask for patience, prayers, and support for the Bush wally family and team as we mourn this tremendous loss.

Bush’s legacy of community, music, culture, and support will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Bush.
Your impact will live on.

Big thank you to KEDELLA for trying our African food for the very first time and sharing such an honest review 🧡

You could literally see her figuring out the flavors in real time 😅 stepping out of her comfort zone and trying something completely different and by the end, she was genuinely enjoying it and even recommending it. That means a lot.

For those who were curious in the comments about what was inside the dish — here’s a little clarity 👇🏾

Our Soup meals typically include:
• Smoked fish
• Stockfish
• Tripe
• Cow skin (ponmo/fashin)
• Crayfish
And we rotate between chicken, goat meat, and beef depending on the week.

African food is layered, bold, and full of flavor sometimes unfamiliar at first, but definitely worth the experience.

Because of her review, we already have a few orders in for this week, and I’m so grateful 🤍
