The Sun is out and the Saison du Val de Rød is shining exactly the way I want it to — bright, crisp, and so balanced. Clean fermentation, soft fruit notes, a dry snap, and that clarity… it still makes me smile. The kind of saison you want to enjoy when the light hits just right. 😎☀️

This is amazing. 💚

Saison du Val’de Rød won the Mikkeller Homebrew Competition in the Saison category — and I’ll be pouring it at MBCC 2026.

A bold, clean saison — super crisp and well balanced according to the judges.
Heading to Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen in May to tap my beer, and to meet some of the world best craft breweries and brewers, the champions league, I’ve learned from for years (Mikkeller, Firestone Walker, Moksa, Other Half, Omnipollo, Schlenkerla, Schönramer, 3 Fonteinen, Cloudwater, Warpigs, 3 Sons, Sapwood Cellars, Budvar and so many more). It feels surreal and incredibly exciting.

As a homebrewer, I’ve spent countless hours listening to these brewers on podcasts, learning, shaping my own beers.
Now I’m going there in May… 😅

American Centennial Hops grown in Rungsted/DK… now in the dryer and will go into an old school American pale ale with Cascade Hops in about three weeks… exciting… lets see what the danish terroir does to the american aroma hop 💚💚 “…Mix ‘em and cook ‘em in a pot like gumbo..!”
