Excited to present our speakers for event No.2 this year ✨After 25+ years in agencies – including roles as Head of Design at Zum goldenen Hirschen and Creative Director at Scholz & Friends – Marlena Lexow () now works independently under the label. Her journey is shaped by conscious decisions, personal responsibility, and the courage to step into her own spotlight.Anna-Lena Pittelkow ()has experienced the full arc of an agency career – from intern to executive leadership. Most recently, she held roles as Creative MD at Banijay Media Germany as well as at Zum goldenen Hirschen and functioned as CCTO at Grabarz & Partner. Join our Zoom-Meeting this Friday at 6PM (Link in Bio) and hear from about what it takes to create a video. After working at pop-cultural Missy Magazine she began to tell stories in pictures instead of painting pictures with words. She started making video content, developing whole shows and formats for tv stations and corporate clients. And soon realized that it takes a lot more than the aesthetics, but a psychological approach to understand what works well in the media. What and why do people consume? What does it take for a piece to go viral? And where do you start, if you want to tell a story?

It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to one of our own, .design.calligraphy 💕 The lady that started it all has left our little Dorf to amaze the creative world in The Hague. We are sad to see her go, but very excited to follow her new adventures.
A little message from Ana Luiza:
“Dear LW&D Friends, after one year of LW&D Düsseldorf I am slowly saying goodbye to start some new adventures. I have just moved to the Netherlands and I am looking forward to the next challenges. We will stay connected and maybe we can see eachother soon in one of our online or offline events. That would be wonderful. I have the most amazing team in Düsseldorf so I really don’t need to worry about our chapter. To start this project was an amazing idea and I feel very proud and lucky to have mt so many special women along the way. Right now I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that is a part of our community. “
We know this is goodbye for now and not forever, we would like to thank you not only for bringing us together, but constantly inspiring us and supporting our collective and individual journey’s. Cheers! Until the next wine (because there will be a next!) 🥂

Just because you are spending more time at home it isn’t necessary to be feeling forever alone. Inspired by the virtual meetup of the global leaders we wanted to start a ‘pass it on’ design project that aims to manifest that amazing feeling of community we all felt and keep it going. Together with our intern .cappellini we have come up with this illustration of a house to encompass this new reality we are all currently living. We invite the ladies behind LW&D to build on it. We hope that this project will inspire positive creativity on the challenges ahead and the ones we have already overcome.

The low down: It’s simple really.
