Some sets pull you in right away, others take their time.
Ektoplast sits somewhere in between.
For this Traumcast, he brings a sound that feels minimal but still full. Lots of small details that reveal themselves slowly. Nothing too much, nothing forcing your attention. It just unfolds.
Moving between downbeat, micro house and warm, slightly bouncy moments, the set develops in a very natural way. At times laid-back and almost weightless, then gently building a bit more drive. But it always stays calm and flowing. 🌫️
You can tell this is someone really working with sound. Transitions, moods, little moments that stick. It’s not just mixing tracks, it’s building a feeling over time. 🌀
A set for those in-between hours.
After the night or just before it begins.
When everything slows down and you just let it carry you. ✨
👀 What’s the bravest decision you’ve ever made, and why?
Probably making music my career. It’s not an easy path for many reasons: periods of doubt, the tricky balance between work and passion, etc. Still, it was a brave decision, because it allows me to spend most of my time doing what I truly love: creating and expressing myself through music (besides emails, networking, admin, social media, promotion, booking gigs, dealing with contracts and a hint of communication aha)
📚 If you could instantly learn a new skill overnight, what would it be?
I’m pretty useless when it comes to DIY :’) I’d love to wake up one morning and suddenly know how to do everything: woodworking, plumbing, electrical work, etc., so I could build, fix, or improve anything around me, like my campervan! I know it’s not that hard in the end, but my level is so low that I still mix up a nail and a screw.
🪣 What adventure is at the top of your bucket list?
Hmm, I’d say visiting Norway by van ! I’d love to have a few weeks for it, and also to schedule a gig while I’m there. Hopefully soon ;)
