What does ”SuFuLaoHo“ mean?
It’s a Guizhou dialect phrase.
”SuFu“ = pleasure, fulfillment.
”LaoHo“ = an intensifier, adding depth.

Steep Social is a cocktail bar in Penang, Malaysia built on the quiet rituals of tea and the
expressive structure of wine.
The interior draws inspiration from the Wok-Ear Roof House (镬耳屋) of Lingnanarchitecture, honouring the harmony between function and philosophy.. From the line above
the bar to the colour palette, lighting, flower-patterned windows, the moon, art pieces, andfurniture, the elements reflects Lingnan scene and Water, one of the five Chinese elements.
Water connects, adapts, and gives life, just as our cocktails and teas flow with stories from
Guangdong, Teochew, Hainan, and Fujian to Penang.
