Foraging Class: Sept 21st, St Laurent, Manitoba (45 mins north of Winnipeg) at 11:00 am. Cost: Donation (whatever you can afford). Program: I will start with some ground rules for foraging, safety, health, ID basics, sustainability, how to forage safe, how to use the herbs, and then we will toot around and look at plants. No time to pick, we are here to learn. Species we will hopefully be able to check out: goldenrod, stinging nettle, Hawthorne apples, rose hips, purple clover, raspberry, and if it rains the day before, inky cap mushroom.
