Sunglasses indoors, deep berry frozen margarita, neon mask glowing behind. This is what the barra looks like when the afternoon light drops and the room starts shifting.

Worth knowing how the day is structured here: lunch runs 12–4, dinner 5–10, and late-night from 10 until close — when the DJ comes on and the dining room turns into something closer to a lounge. The frozen margaritas are a good entry point at any hour.

We also do catering, cocktails included, if you're building an event.

The mask on the wall isn't decoration — it's the whole thesis. Lucha libre gave México masked heroes whose identities lived entirely in the ring, and whose faces became national iconography. That's the spirit we built the room around.

Under the neon: mezcal from Oaxaca, agave spirits, coupes hanging ready. The bar is where the restaurant shifts gears at night — dinner service winds down, the music comes up, and the space turns into something else entirely.

We also bring the bar to you — cocktail service is part of our catering.

Last week the Potros de Hierro took over 722 Nelson St — flags on the bar, jerseys from every era, and a room full of people who've been carrying this club since long before they landed in Vancouver.

The march starts at 5. The beer starts a lot earlier.

August 4 — Whitecaps vs Atlante, and 722 Nelson is the meetup point. $5 House Lager all day, then we walk to the stadium together at 5 PM. Show up early, eat something real before kickoff — birria, quesabirrias, a taquiza if you're rolling deep — and line up with the rest of the crowd out front.

Blue and red on the same block, one street, one walk to BC Place. Bring the flags. Bring the voice.

August 4 — Whitecaps vs Atlante, and the House Lager is $5 all day. Come early, stay late, argue about the lineup over a plate of El Quesabirrias. Order a michelada if the lager isn't loud enough for you. Downtown, walkable, and built for the kind of crowd that treats a match like a main event.

Blue side, red side — doesn't matter. Everyone drinks at the same barra.

Held up between two fingers, the way a tostada is meant to be eaten — in one confident bite before the shell gives. Ours start with a baked corn tostada layered with guacamole, then piled with shredded beef, pico de gallo, cilantro, and a heavy dusting of queso fresco.
This reads as our Salpicón de Res — built on the classic Mexican salpicón, a bright, citrus-dressed shredded beef that's traditionally served cool. The contrast is everything: crisp shell, creamy guac, tender beef, sharp pico.
Hosting a group? Tostadas are a catering favorite — easy to share, impossible to resist.
