This week we welcomed David from Garofoli to Toronto, and what a wonderful few days.

We had the chance to take him around the city, visiting so many of the accounts pouring Garofoli and sharing the incredible history, w**es and terroir of this fifth-generation family producer from Le Marche.

And then, one of those little moments that really sticks with you.

We were tasting at Proper when Darnell walked through the door with a case of Farnio for delivery. Watching David immediately light up with pride seeing his w**e being carried in was such a reminder of what we do.

Behind every bottle is a family, a place, generations of work and an incredible amount of pride. Every listing, every order, every bottle poured means something.

A pretty special few days seeing Toronto through David’s eyes, with a few glasses of Garofoli along the way.

Round two of our Tour de France series with Master Chef Didier Leroy and this time, we headed to the Rhône.

Frisée Lyonnaise with Rotem & Mounir Inopia Blanc, pickerel quenelle with lobster sauce alongside J.L. Chave Sélection Hermitage Blanc, Beaufort with Paul Jaboulet Aîné Cornas, and filet de bœuf with Rotem & Mounir Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

And the sauces… lobster, red w**e-poached pear, sauce poivrade, crème anglaise. Chef Didier does not mess around.

Another incredible evening around the table at The French Kitchen, eating and drinking our way through France one region at a time.

Next stop: Bordeaux. Details coming soon.

And trust us, we’re just warming up. 🇫🇷🍷

Your pre-flight w**e just got an upgrade.

Spotted at the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, Terminal 1 Domestic: Garofoli Montereale Sangiovese.

One more reason to get to the airport early.

From one of the Marche’s historic family-owned producers, Montereale is a fresh, vibrant expression of Sangiovese; juicy red fruit, gentle spice and that unmistakable Italian savoury edge. Approachable, food-friendly and, as it turns out, very airport-lounge friendly.

Cin cin and safe travels. ✈️

Such a pleasure hosting Justine Tesseron in Toronto for an incredible masterclass; a vertical of Pontet-Canet, Tesseron Cognac alongside, and this view to top it off.

Grateful to this group for spending the afternoon with us.

Say hello to ! 🇪🇸✨

Meet the newest name in our portfolio and one of Spain’s most exciting Cava producers.

Tucked into the sun-soaked hills of Penedès, just outside Barcelona, Vallformosa has been perfecting the art of Cava since 1938 (and their roots go all the way back to 1865).

• Behind every bottle: 400+ w**egrowing families, a love for indigenous varieties, and some of the region’s most sought-after high-altitude vineyards.

But it’s not just about incredible w**e, in 2024, Vallformosa became the first Spanish w**ery to achieve B Lab certification, proving that great taste and great values can absolutely go hand in hand.

First shipment landing early winter — so get your glasses ready! 🍾

We had the pleasure of welcoming Lorenza Sebasti of Castello di Ama for an incredible tasting at Aria, sharing the w**es, stories and history behind one of Chianti Classico’s most remarkable estates.

There is something special about hearing these w**es told through Lorenza. Her connection to Ama, the land and its history is completely infectious. You leave the table not only loving the w**es, but feeling a little closer to the place they come from.

Beautiful bottles, old vintages, lots of stories and a room full of friends and familiar faces. A pretty wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

Thank you to the team at Aria Ristorante 🇮🇹 for your incredible hospitality and grazie Lorenza for bringing a little piece of Ama to Toronto.

Lorenza Sebasti has a way of making you feel Chianti Classico right down to your bones. The history, the land, the Sangiovese, the stories behind every bottle. You leave the table not only loving the w**es of Castello di Ama, but understanding why she has spent a lifetime so fiercely passionate about them.

Time with Lorenza has an incredible way of making that passion stay with you, long after the last glass is poured.
