Caffè Della Strega!

This cocktail is inspired by my family’s Italian tradition of ending every meal with espresso and a digestive. I wanted to recreate this tradition in the form of an anise drink. The name “Strega” is Italian for witch, and in Benevento, Italy (The City of Witches) it is common to light the liqueur/spirit before drinking. This drink ignites with the spirit of the Strega! I hope you enjoy this drink as much as I had fun making it. Cheers! 

Recipe:
- 0.75oz Lucid Superieure Absinthe
- 0.75oz Evangelista Punch Abruzzo
- 0.75oz Frangelico
- 2 Dashes Cocoa Angostura Bitters
- Cinnamon and Nutmeg Spice Mix
- Orange Twist
- Coffee Cold Brew Ice Cube

Preparation:
- Arrange two tempered goblet glasses (any tempered stem glass will work) on a service plate.
- In the right glass, place a Cold Brew Coffee Ice Cube.
- In left glass, add all of the remaining ingredients except the orange twist and spice mix.

Service:
(In front of customer while explaining tasting notes)
- Ignite the left glass with a blowtorch and dust Spice Mix over glass to create sparks.
- Pour the contents from the left glass over the cold brew cube in the right glass.
- Stir until the flame is extinguished, and then express the orange twist and discard

Tasting Notes:
This cocktail will evolve over time as the cold brew cube dissolves. At first, herbal and anise flavours dominate. With a rich hazelnut undertone, the Frangelico will act as our sweetener. The spice mix & cocoa bitters add complexity with the orange twist contributing a bright note. Further along, the roasted coffee flavor will round out the experience and add a pleasant robustness.

Upside Down Walnuts!

This cocktail is a variation on a classic flip. Lots of bold flavors with the Jager Cold Brew and Lustau Sherry. The maple rounds this out nicely and it is definitely a must try for all egg nog fans. Recipe below 👇

- 1oz Toasted Walnut infused Rye
- 0.5oz Jägermeister Cold Brew
- 0.5ox Lustau Ollorosso Sherry
- 0.5oz Maple Syrup
- 1 Whole Egg
- Maple Cookie Garnish

Combine all ingredients except cookie into garnish. Dry shake for 10 seconds then wet shake with ice for 15 seconds. Double strain into cocktail glass then dust with crushed maple cookie. Garnish with whole maple cookie. Cheers!

Dirty Ceasar 🫒🍅

I am big fan of savory cocktails and the first two that come to mind are a Dirty Martini and a Caesar. So why not combine them! This is the perfect brunch/lunch cocktail that will get the palette going. Note, since I did not use Clamato I added a full ounce of brine to achieve a similar salt content. Recipe 👇

- 1.5oz Basil Infused Vodka
- 1oz Dry Vermouth
- 5 Dash Worcestershire
- 3 dash hot sauce
- 1oz Olive brine
- 4oz Tomato Purée
- Tajin Rim

Combine all ingredients into shaker with ice and do a rolling pour between shakers for 8-10 times. Pour into prepared glass and garnish with anything you like! Cheers :)

Fog Cutter 🌴

Kicking off 2023 with the Tiki vibes. This is a classic Tiki recipe from the legendary Trader Vic adapted by This is definitely a booze forward cocktail but it is super refreshing. A must try for all the Tiki lovers! Recipe 👇

- 2oz Lightly aged Rum
- 1oz Pisco
- 0.5oz Gin
- 0.5oz Oloroso Sherry
- 1.5oz Lemon Juice
- 1.5oz Orange Juice
- 0.5oz Orgeat Syrup

Combine all ingredients into cocktail shaker and shake with ice for 20 seconds or flash blend. Serve over crushed ice and garnish with mint sprig. Cheers!
