Soooo I didn't post about it when it happened 2 weeks ago, but I had a slight setback in my training at a very less than ideal time... last Monday (at just under 4 weeks out), I was going for a double at 250 lbs, and on the way up on the second rep, I heard and felt a snapping feeling/ sound come from my right quad (more specifically vastus lateralis).
Physio the next day said it was likely micro tears/ strain in the muscle... soooo I've had to scale my training back. I took last week off, and this week, I've been moving lower weights to not push the muscle too hard.
Thankfully, it's coming along, and today's training session felt really strong with no pain and no after-effects π hopefully I can continue to improve between now and my meet on the 29th!
I am stepping out on the platform at
I will do what I am capable of that day
I am still very proud that, despite a crazy unpredictable prep, I have not given up π
