It looks like we’re going to get a little use out of our patio, this weekend. We’re looking at high 20s with a chance of rain! We’re very much hoping the rain stays away and our patrons get to enjoy a little fresh air with a cold beverage on the deck. We’ve got a big day on Saturday, as the Glengarry Mental Health Initiative is hosting a soccer tournament on the pitch across the street. It’s going to be a well supported event, no doubt! The Beyond the Bases for Beyond 21 Softball Tournament is also scheduled for the 13th! Again, a very well supported event! Kudos to both groups on your fundraising efforts! A lot of work, by a lot of great people, all to benefit two great local causes! Thank you for making our community better!

Our weekend special is a Buffalo honey garlic chicken burger. It’s our house made, crispy chicken burger, tossed in a Buffalo honey garlic sauce, with thinly sliced dill pickles, leaf lettuce and garlic aioli, on a toasted sesame seed bun. It’s served with a side of French fries. We’ve got mushroom medley soup, in the pot this week. It’s a savoury base, with caramelized onions, oyster, black oyster, king oyster, shiitake, enoki, cremini, chanterelle and white button mushrooms. It’s garnished with Parmesan cheese and served with a side of saltines. Our June beverage of the month is Ronnie’s Strawberry Milkshake IPA, from Cameron’s Brewing Company.

Thank the Lord, our food is more consistent than the elements! The weekend starts off strong, with clear skies that encourage a visit to the patio. However, it looks like we’re sliding back into some cool and rainy weather by the end of the weekend. Rain or shine, we’ve got you covered for some great eats, cold drinks and fantastic fellowship as we roll into June with thoughts of the summer ahead. The boys in the kitchen, as always, have some tasty specials planned and the girls out front are always happy to make you feel at home. We’d love to see you pop in for a fine meal and a good chin wag.

Our weekend special is a crispy chicken C.L.U.B. wrap. It’s crispy chicken tenders, crispy bacon, romaine lettuce, fresh sliced tomatoes and mayonnaise wrapped in a flour tortilla. A great weekend to maybe hang inside and pay us a visit, here at Jack's Pub. We’re unfortunately not seeing the weather we need for a great sit, on the patio quite yet. Fingers are crossed though! With the cool grey skies ahead, we’ve got a hearty soup planned to help warm the heart and tummy. Our special is certainly geared for summer as we hope to help jumpstart some sunny days, with a little wishful thinking and clear skies vibes. Come and join us for some good food, cold drinks and great fellowship as we all pray for some fun in the sun kinda weather!

We’ll have the game on in front and back for those who wish to join us for the action. It’s always fun to yell at the TV, with friends, when there’s meaningful hockey being played! Thank you so much for your patience as we took a weekend to ourselves. It was a much needed break for our owners and staff. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to catch up with friends and family for a few days. Means a lot to get some time to share with loved ones. We’re back at it, full throttle, this week, prepping for what should be a good little weekend ahead. We’re predicting patio weather and look forward to sharing some good food and fellowship, with those who get to pay us a visit. You may also notice our general manager, Kaelan, has a little extra bling on his ring finger, upon his return, as he wed his long time partner Cairo, this past week! Make sure to wish him well and best of luck on his next chapter, when you’re in!

Our weekend special is a chicken quesadilla. It’s shredded chicken breast, a mild cheese blend, red onions and chili spices, folded in a grilled flour tortilla, topped with a sour cream aioli and garnished with a side of salsa and lime wedges. We’ve got tomato grilled cheese sandwich soup in the pot this week. It’s a creamy, cheesy tomato base topped with our house cheese blend and our house made croutons. Our May beverage of the month is Cosmic Cream Ale, from Cameron’s Brewing Company. We’ve also got a new Rurban IPA, in stock. It’s a hazy IPA called TOP O’ THE SOUTH that greets you with hints of tropical fruit and citrus peel.

A big thank you to all those great mamas out there, this Mother’s Day! We appreciate all you do! Join us in celebrating the family matriarchs that humbly hold our lives together, who don’t always expect recognition, but most certainly deserve it. We’re bringing a little Cinco de Mayo flair, to the table this weekend, with our soup of the week and weekend special! We hope the mothers that get to join us, enjoy what we have to offer. We appreciate all those who plan on honouring mom, with us, this weekend for some great food and a good stiff drink! God knows, mommy deserves it! A gentle reminder that Jack's Pub will be closed from Monday, May 11th to Wednesday, May 20th, as our staff enjoys some time away to concentrate on family and friends.

It seems our patio weather won’t be holding out for us again this weekend. That’s ok though. We’ve got a great atmosphere inside and the boys in the kitchen have one of their patented burger specials rolling out, this week. This one is definitely going to require a napkin tucked in to the collar! Post meal shower, not included. They’ve also got a fan favourite soup, from Shawn’s days at the bakery, planned too! We look forward to those who get to pay us a visit for some good food and great fellowship. We’d also like to share that Jack's Pub will be closed from Monday, May 11th to Wednesday, May 20th, as our staff enjoys some time away to concentrate on family and friends.

It’s a 6 oz ground chuck patty, topped with a jalapeño popper cream cheese spread, havarti and medium cheddar cheese, fresh diced jalapeños, dill pickles and a bbq sauce aioli, on a toasted sesame seed bun. It comes served with a side of French fries. We’ve got cheesy onion and potato soup in the pot, this week. It’s a cheesy, creamy mirepoix base, with caramelized onions and red skinned potatoes. We have got a pulse! Spring has finally sprung! It was so nice to see visitors on the patio, this past week and we hope to see the same thing ahead! We’ve got sunny skies, for most of the weekend and hope to make good use of our outdoor accommodations again. It’s been a long week of tidying up outside. We are also happy to be continuing our labours inside as well, organizing all the great items that were donated to us, to hang on the walls. It’s been a lot of fun, seeing all the neat stuff come through the door. The boys in the kitchen have got some great meals cooking and we hope you get the chance to pay us a visit, here at Jack's Pub, this weekend for some good food and a cold beverage.

It’s our traditional poutine, topped with roasted chicken, tossed in KC BBQ sauce, macaroni and cheese, bacon bits, crispy deep fried onions and green onions. We’ve got hamburger steak soup in the pot, this week. It’s a savoury base with ground chuck, fried onions and fried mushrooms. It comes served with a side of saltines. Our April beverage of the month, is Sleeman Honey Brown Lager.
