Throwing it back to our June 2025 roasting partner because honestly 2025 was elite. Secret Sip Coffee Club was proud to partner with La Maison Smith straight out of Québec City a brand known for iconic cafés, refined vibes, and seriously next level roasting. Founded by passionate entrepreneurs blending modern coffee culture with the old world charm of Old Québec, La Maison Smith brings warmth, elegance, and craftsmanship into every cup.

Their head roaster Marianne is an actual genius creating coffees that are smooth, layered, and expressive while staying rooted in authenticity, community, and sustainability. Every coffee is selected with intention honouring origin stories and building real relationships with producers across Latin America.

Their flagship Limoilou Blend features beans from Nicaragua, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Mexico roasted to a perfectly balanced medium with notes of milk chocolate, caramel, toasted almond, and a hint of citrus. Whether pulled as espresso or brewed as filter this coffee delivers every single time.

Canada’s coffee club was proud to share what we still believe is one of the best coffees in the country and we’re still thinking about it.

Throwing it back to our May roaster feature because this one deserves a replay. .torrefacteur Appalaches Torréfacteur out of Thetford Mines Québec is the real deal. Small batch. Thoughtful roasting. Zero shortcuts. They blend precision with intuition and you can taste it in every cup.

This feature was a Burundi Nkoronko Red Bourbon grown at 1700 MASL in Ngozi Province. Fully washed and patio dried to keep it bright and clean. The cup hits with red currant black tea and honeyed citrus layered over a silky smooth body. Complex but easy. Fancy but still crushable.

Appalaches is big on transparency and traceability working closely with African producers and making sure every bag tells the full story from farm to cup. That is our kind of energy.

Canada has some unreal coffee and this is proof. Secret roast certified. Secret Sip approved.
