The soup dumplings at in Montreal are absolutely delicious.

My tip for even more flavour: ask for a taste of the house chili sauce, it’s a must here. Add a little soy sauce and just a touch of vinegar, and the dumplings come alive with every bite. The balance of heat, salt and acidity elevates the broth-filled dumplings beautifully.

Even are second on my list of favourite roasters in Quebec. This week, I tried their version of Janson Geisha from Panama. Almost creamy texture, beautiful prune-like aromas, but an unfortunate cardboard aftertaste took over the delicate varietal aromas.

I completely fell for their Percy Pintado Geisha from Peru that I tasted late 2025. A perfect cup that pleasantly surprised my palate with Szechuan pepper feels. Every sip tingled on my tongue. Brilliant.

Even is a must when in Montreal.
