Side by side tasting of Moët Chandon Grand Vintage 2015 Brit and Rose.

I was lucky enough to be able to taste these two beauties during my fall trip to Epernay. France.

Not a lot of bubbles right? Scandalous I know but I’m going to tell you - as much as I love bubbles - when it comes to a vintage wine like this it’s better to let the bubbles dissipate to better taste the blending. I wouldn’t lie about a thing like that you know.

Champagne Robert Moncuit. Found this gem

Sometimes a random find is the best find and this one was very good.

Described as having ‘a fine mousse, pleasantly dry and complex body”.

Wine-searcher is listing this at $88 CDN and for a Grand Cru from the Côte des Blancs area. That’s got my attention.
