If you’ve spent any time at Harbour Road Pub, you’ve probably met our GM, Alyssa McKay. And if you’ve been lucky enough, you’ve probably met her son, Walsh — a young man who has completely stolen the hearts of our staff and customers alike.
What many people may not know is that Walsh was diagnosed with optic nerve hypoplasia and autism. What they do know is that he has a smile that lights up a room, a heart of gold, and a passion for music that is impossible to miss.
Without ever taking a single piano lesson, Walsh has taught himself to play entirely by ear. Song after song, note after note, he simply listens, learns, and plays. Watching him sit at a piano is nothing short of remarkable.
For years, music has been one of Walsh’s greatest passions, and now he’s ready to share that passion with others.
So we’re making room for him.
For one special evening, Walsh will be taking the stage at Harbour Road Pub for his very first piano recital. This will be his debut performance in front of a live audience, and we couldn’t be more honoured to be a part of it.
We hope you’ll join us as we cheer him on, celebrate his talent, and support a young man who’s worked hard to develop a truly extraordinary gift.
Sometimes a community gets the chance to be part of something special. This is one of those moments.
