What a afternoon 😫😅

It honestly started out sunny with a little rain in Edmonton before I left for set up. The clouds started coming in and some thunder, so preemptively started putting some stuff in the car.

But boy when the hail came, it came DOWN. ⛈️ Tent almost flew away but I am so glad I made 40+ lb weights at the start of the season because of this insane weather we've been having.

I got told this afternoon that "I never tell you when I get injured at work" and I'm honestly floored at that response. All of us, including the organizers put in SO much work to vend at these events. Fortunately I wasn't injured, I only lost my square reader because I honestly didn't even have time to think to grab it or my tablet. That's how fast it came in.

Thank you to the vendors to my right who helped me take down my tent when it calmed a little bit. My feet were freezing 🥶.

People always ask what my hobbies are.

I don't really have any.

Unless searching for good gluten free food counts as a hobby. 😅

In that case, I'm extremely committed.

Nobody hypes up small businesses like a small business owner, especially a gluten free one, confidently liking and commenting online like I’ve got it all together.

Meanwhile in real life I’m juggling school drop offs, two kids in full time sports (soon to be four), baking late at night once everyone is finally asleep, usually with messy hair, and posting at the most unhinged hours of the day.

Online me is polished and social.
In-person me is trying to remember if I’ve already said hi while also mentally counting tomorrow’s bake list.

But I saw it. I liked it. I probably even commented something that sounded way more put together than I felt.
