Behind an unmarked curtain, the wealthy disappeared into parlours where jazz played until morning and nobody asked how the whiskey arrived. Ci**rs burned slow, poker got loud, and the drinks were rich enough to make you forget the world outside.

rumours spread through the speakeasies of a bartender trading exotic spices for whiskey recipes with sailors passing through Atlantic ports. nobody knew where he came from. only that his drinks tasted expensive, dangerous, and slightly illegal in at least three countries.

one customer supposedly disappeared after asking what "death tincture" actually meant.

vodka, tequila, citrus, saffron, egg white, orange bitters, death tincture.
