Event Announcement: Seed Starting Workshop by Brandon Food Council

We would like to invite you to join us for an interactive Seed Starting Workshop with the Brandon Food Council as the first event in our Community Food Security Series.

Date: Saturday, March 16th

Time: 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Location: Knox United Church

At the workshop, participants will:

-Learn the basics of seed starting

-Receive seedlings to take home

-Gain knowledge on nurturing seedlings and transitioning them to garden spaces or pots

-Explore various techniques for successful seedling growth, strategies for urban gardening and small space solutions.

Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, everyone is welcome! We encourage individuals at any level of experience to join us. If you're new to Brandon and unsure about growing food in this area, this workshop is an excellent opportunity to get started.

Volunteers are also encouraged to grow extra seedlings at home, which can be shared with the community during our Seedling Drop Off Day. These seedlings will be distributed to the public through nonprofit and community organizations.

Lunch will be provided during the workshop, offering a chance for networking and community building with funding generously provided by the BNRC.
