My husband and I live in a beautiful little town of Jordan Station. Every year I force my husband to do an anniversary session with me, I love having memories of us. I always find myself going back through wedding galleries and discovering new favourites I somehow missed the first time around.
D+V day? I remember driving home thinking, this one’s going to be a favourite. And I know I say that a lot… but truly, the couples I’ve worked with these past few years have made me fall in love with what I do all over again.
When you show up ready to be yourselves laughing, relaxed, and fully in it the photos just feel different. More natural. Less forced. More you.
And I know not everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera (honestly, most people don’t!). That’s exactly why I love meeting beforehand or doing an engagement session. We get to know each other, you get comfortable, and by the wedding day it feels easy.
And that’s when the magic happens. 🤍

Rachel and Daniel… where do I even start? From the moment I met them, I knew their day would be pure joy. They’re the kind of couple you can’t be around without smiling. Their wedding was full of laughter, family, and shockingly for November a perfect, calm day. Grateful for every minute with these two.

From the moment the day started, Brad and Sabrina’s wedding felt like something straight out of a dream. ✨ It’s always an honour capturing love stories but this one was especially meaningful since these two are family. So much love went into this day, and the vendor team absolutely nailed it!

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted, and there’s a reason for that! Life has been full with a 4-year-old at home, and just last week, we welcomed our newest family member! 💕 As much as I love capturing special moments, I’ve slowed down over the past two years to focus on family. This year, I’m only shooting a couple weddings, and I’m not sure what next year will bring.
So, until my first wedding in September, this page might be a little quiet, but I’ll be back soon with some beautiful moments to share. 😊

😅 It’s been about a year since I introduced myself… oops!

I’m Alex! I’ve been shooting weddings for almost 14 years now (crazy, right?). It all started after my own wedding—something about that day lit a fire in me, and I fell completely in love with the wedding world. I didn’t go to school for photography—I just second shot like crazy, asked a million questions, and learned from so many amazing photographers along the way. Turns out, there’s no big secret… just passion, patience, and a whole lot of learning as you go. 📸💫

Fun facts about me:
♡ I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Ian—we’ve been married for 14 years and built a life full of vacations, laughter, and love.
♡ We have a sweet (and loud 😅) mini schnauzer named Odin, and a four year old boy named Kane who keeps us on our toes.
♡ I also work part-time at our family business (thanks, Office Admin diploma!).
♡ I’m one of four siblings—and yes, we’re a loud, fun crew.
♡ I cannot resist a good shopping trip
♡ We live in the cutest small town—Jordan Station—and absolutely love it here.

Also about 99% of the family photos you'll see of us are shot by my talented photographer friend Madison. Thanks girl for capturing so many memories for us over the i think its 8-9 years!

Even though I’ve only photographed a handful of weddings over the past two years, I’ve felt incredibly lucky reflecting on the years I shot 30+ weddings annually. Now, even capturing just one or two weddings a year feels so special.

In a world full of talented photographers, it still blows my mind that couples choose me to document one of the most important days of their lives. That never gets old. 🥹

Over the years, I’ve learned so much, laughed a lot, and met the most amazing people. Wedding parties, families, tearful dads, goofy groomsmen—you’ve all left a little mark on my heart. 💛
