Our Sakura Junmai that pairs very well with asparagus.

A perfect example for a typical sake from Hyogo, made from Yamadanishiki rice. This rice is the perfect companion of the yeast that can do its job in taste.
In this case, as the name of the bottle suggests, the accent is on flowers. These floral impressions only increase when this sake is served warm. (45°C)

The Sakuramasamune brewery, of the Kobe region, decided to brew a specific sake to be accompanied by meat, as a devotion to their "Wagyu Beef".
We experience a complex bouquet of ripe pear and caramel, sweet spiciness (star anise and cloves), nicely wrapped in a characteristic whole. Typical soy reflex in nose and mouth offer a nice added value. A firm aftertaste based on the spiciness with burnt accents (almond nuts) in the aftertaste. 
This sake will dot the i's in this unsurpassed culinary experience.

Our Fujitaikan Blue Label is now available through our webshop.

Here we take in a slightly aromatic nose with a hint of melon. It has a nice build up and a mild flavor that allows you to enjoy the natural taste of rice.

The bottle is named after a famous artist, Taikan. He used to paint Mount Fuji.

Hitotoki from Imayo Tsukasa in Niigata just won the Gold award in the junmai category at “KURA MASTER 2022″ – sake contest in France! 🥇

The name of this sake "Hito to Ki to Hitotoki" means "Man, Wood and a Moment".
Sake was traditionally brewed in wooden barrels. Nowadays sake breweries use tanks in stainless steel. The brewer (Imayo Tsukasa) wanted to make a blink to the past and obtain a truly traditional sake. Do not expect a woody sake but a very delicate balance between umami and nutty crispness.
The label is made of special paper (Pachica) and refers to cedar wood.

Serving temperature: 8℃〜12℃

Rice: Gohyakumangoku 
Rice Polishing Ratio: 65%

“Yomigaeri Hyakunen Junmai Genshu” is Junmai Genshu which is brewed from “Kyokai Yeast No.1 (Sakuramasamune’s yeast)” and the best ingredients in the same method as 100 years ago. It doesn’t add water for the adjustment of alcohol concentration, and maximize the umami flavor of the rice. It can be enjoyed with the full-bodied and the sharp taste.

Limited product: 200~300 bottles / year

Taste: Medium dry
Serving temperature: 20℃〜40℃
Sake Type (designation): Junmai (Kimoto, Genshu)
Rice: Yamadanishiki (from Yokawa, Hyogo)

Saké. We hebben er allemaal al eens van gehoord, maar heb je het al eens deftig geproefd? 🧐

Omdat wij geloven dat dit prachtig, historisch brouwsel uit Japan meer aandacht verdient, organiseren wij op 8 april een tasting onder leiding van Lisa, sommelier en zaakvoerder van
'Oh My Saké', dé referentie in België. Verwacht je aan een schitterende line-up van 8 verschillende soorten saké en 4 Japanse likeuren. De ideale intro naar de diversiteit aan soorten en smaken van dit (tot nu toe) mysterieuze drankje. 🍶 Benieuwd?
