Apparently yelling out "TAXI" when hailing a cab is a sore giveaway that you're an Aussie when overseas? Like if you ever want to stick out as an Aussie overseas, just yell out taxi like you're summoning a mate.
Apparently there are some other countries that do this, but the way we do it is more blunt, louder and less graceful... which just means its more efficient because the bloody driver can here us and know we want a taxi.
