There’s no denying it — 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝘼𝙯𝙪𝙡 has done an incredible job of marketing tequila.

The bottles are beautiful. The presentation is exceptional. The brand has become a symbol of luxury, and for many people, that’s exactly what they’re looking for.

Longboard made the trip down from North Queensland to Brisbane for an incredible tequila tasting at Shaman, hosted by Mextrade Australia.

Joining us from Jalisco, Mexico, were Salvador “Chava” Rosales and Benjamín Rosales, owners of Cascahuín, who brought along more than six amazing Cascahuín expressions for us to taste and explore.🇲🇽

The Longboard crew have been fortunate enough to visit the Cascahuín distillery in El Arenal, Jalisco, on three different occasions, so the opportunity to meet up with the Rosales brothers here in Australia was one we certainly weren’t going to miss.

Cascahuín has been such an important part of our tequila journey, and Longboard is proud of the long list of tequilas from NOM 1123 that we have shared with our guests over the years.

A huge well done to Mextrade for organising these events throughout Australia and bringing the people that are behind some of Mexico’s great tequilas a little closer to us.

And cheers to the team at Shaman for providing a fantastic venue 👌🏼🥃

FISH CEVICHE 🐠🍋‍🟩

Fresh fish, cured to order in our house citrus mix, Leche de Tigre, then tossed with toasted corn, chilli, onion, cucumber, tomato, capsicum and avocado. A touch of coconut cream brings it all together, served with crisp corn chips for the perfect scoop.

Bright, fresh, creamy, zesty and just the right amount of kick — it’s easy to see why this one has quickly become a favourite. 🌿🥑

And because great ceviche starts with great fish, we only use the freshest we can get…
