When a brand has been sold a few times it’s not always obvious who ends up with the trademark. For us it wasn’t hard to relaunch Red Mill, we just had some digging to find out who owned its name in 2020.

Then it was about looking at the rum the brand once made and the tools used, alongside the way we wanted to drink rum in Sydney in the 21st century. As we say often, Red Mill isn’t about going backwards, it’s about picking up where the story was left off.

Come see Sydney’s working harbour rum distillery, and try a few barrels while you’re here. We love to chat rum, the city’s rich history making it and show our diverse mixture of ex-whiskey and ex-wine casks and all the rums we age inside of them. We’ve been in the business since 1933 so there’s plenty to discover.
