No pain(t), No gain 🖌 It’s been a rainy, stormy weekend in Sydney, which translated into loads of time painting new surfboards. We can’t wait to show you some of the progress we made. For now, we hope you enjoy the colorful arrangement of paints and materials in our workshop.

G’day mates! For those that are new around here I wanted to introduce myself. 👋🏼 I’m Elizabeth, the maker behind Coastal Native candles & painted surfboards. I’m originally from Marietta, GA and currently live in Sydney, Australia with my husband, Austin, and goldendoodle puppy, Harper. I am passionate about recycling things that would otherwise be sent to the landfill and turning them into repurposed gems. That’s how I got started with converting wine, beer, and spirits bottles into containers that I use to hold amazing smelling candles. Since then I’ve also started painting old surfboards and transforming them into epic wall decor. It’s been amazing to find my creative outlet and I love how this platform allows us to connect with other makers and passionate humans with ideas. I’d love to know what inspires you. Wax on, wax OFF 🤙🏼 Picked up some old surfboards yesterday. We will scrape & sand them to remove all the wax. Then prime ‘em and finish off with a hand painted design. Can’t wait to show you the finished products! .

For those that are new around here, Cinder Candle Co. is back with a new take on recycling and a new name! 🌊 Coastal Native has a laidback outlook on life with a focus on nature, connecting and giving back. We are still recycling glass bottles and turning them into beautiful candles. We are also launching recycled surfboard art, hand painted surfboards that make the coolest wall decor.
