Bitter Phew is a calm, New York-warehouse inspired craft beer venue. A solid, wooden bar reaches out towards expansive windows drawing in the light of Darlinghurst. Relax and unwind with your favourite beer while enjoying the view or head out the back to a terrace. We welcome all beer enthusiasts to come in and experience our selection of the finest local and international boutique beers. We have

12 taps rotating with the purpose and passion of making the world of craft beer accessible to Sydneysiders. However, fresh, tasty craft beer and somewhere comfortable and pleasing to drink is not our only vice, and we know everyone else has other indulgences too. We have also strived to ensure our wine and spirits selection are on par with the level of quality we offer in our beers. So that no matter what you feel like on the night, you are sure to walk away satisfied

THE CLOCK STRIKES MIDNIGHT!

Yes we've pulled off a full rotation! We've gone duodecimal! We've conquered time itself!

We clearly have an affinity for the number 12. 12 taps a pouring. 12 months in the year were throwing the door open. Friday and Saturdays were currently open for 12 hours? Ok maybe we're grasping at straws but the point remains it's 12 years we've been pouring and sharing beers with you dear people!

We will be celebrating with a dozen taps of our favourites from the last year. The BBQ will be going from 4pm. The playlist will be pumping all day.

We will be featuring taps from .ales to name a few. Of course some cellared treats will be making an appearance. I mean its not a birthday party unless makes an appearance is it?

Come one, come all. We'd love to see your faces as we celebrate another year of great beer, happy faces and fun times.

Marrickville-based Wildflower Brewing and Blending joined the Sydney beer scene in 2017 and we were lucky enough to be asked to help with that launch back in the day.

Well its been a little while since we threw open our taps to our friends from Brompton Street and we’re getting excited to have the good stuff pouring from both tap and bottle.

Join us for a chat with some of the team over kegs of Gold, Amber, Fresh Hop Table beer and a keg of their collaboration brew with French producer Brasserie Thiriez.

We will also have some Gold and Amber wild ales being poured from Lambic baskets for a truly special experience.

Edit* Now adding a keg of this year’s Village on tap

Deep in the back coolroom, it waited. While kegs came in and went, it waited. Faces coming into its chamber changed, but it remained.

10 long years of patiently waiting to be released from its temperature-controlled dungeon.

And now the time has come.

Deschutes Brewery The Abyss 2015. Aged for a year in French Cognac barrels after brewing, adding extra layers of complexity to its opaque blackness.

Tapping along with kegs from Jester King and Cascade.

We’ve gazed long enough into it. What will happen when it gazes back into us?
