🌿🎶 MEET YOUR DJ // OMIKEYO 🎶🌿
OMIKEYO is not only the founder of Sunshine Coast Ecstatic Dance, he is also the core DJ of it.
His love of music began at the tender age of 4, listening to his fathers music collection of rock & roll, 80's, and psychedelic sounds.
Learning and having a love of violin, saxophone, and drums in school... with also singing in the school choir.
Later in his hospitality career, he collected vinyl for years, moved with the technology to digital, and stepped into mixing in clubs, DJing in New Zealand & Australia.
In his downtime, he learned to play on drum machines and synthesiser keyboards to add another musical layer to his already vast talents.
He seamlessly blends his Ecstatic dance DJ sets with inspiration from his club DJing, and his loves of classical, jazz, rock'n'roll, and electronic house music, so expect to hear an array of classic house tunes with bass music, synthy keys, beautiful vocals, jazzy wind instruments, and some percussion that keeps you moving and grooving.
His intention is to create a space that you yourself can take up space, with movement that inspires you to truly be yourself with, to be free to express yourself in ways you have always wanted to, without inhibitions and get a sweat on by getting down!
