Important water safety messages about where to swim at the beach, what to do if you get caught in a rip and what our awesome volunteer lifesavers do reached over 500 local school kids.

There is no charge for pool entry if you are just doing the proficiency, if you are staying for a swim then normal charges apply. Thanks to Brett and Leah from the pool for their ongoing support.

It's also about teamwork, mateship, and the little moments that make being part of South West Rocks Surf Life Saving Club so special.

Whether we're watching the water, responding to incidents, lending a hand or firing up the BBQ to feed our hardworking volunteers, every patrol is a team effort.

A big shout-out to our amazing patrol members who give up their time to keep our beaches safe and our club running.

Because great patrols are built on great people!

Because of this we would love to say a huge thank you to our OFCs and Silver Salties. Without these members we would not be able to achieve the things that we do.

Even though they may not all be on the sand in the red and yellow they are such an integral part of the club.

Both groups encourage volunteerism alongside mental, physical and social wellbeing.

Some of the things our older members have achieved….

🌊 Multiple Silver Salties have their Bronze Medallion and are active patrolling members

🧑‍✈️Gaining their UAV (drone) operators award

🏥 Gaining their First Aid and Advanced Resuscitaion Certificate

🏊‍♀️Going from not being able to put their head under the water to catch waves and be able to swim laps of the pool
