We're thrilled to announce that our flagship event, Narooma Oyster Festival is a finalist in the NSW Tourism Awards!

It's wonderful recognition for our community run, not-for-profit festival - now one of the largest marquee food and drink events in southern NSW! As we dive deep into planning for our 18th festival, we feel even more excited about showcasing the Rock Oyster and creating exceptional experiences for festival-goers.

We're thrilled to see some local legends on the list too, there's Foxdog Distillery and Region X Unspoilt Experiences Batemans Bay NSW from Eurobodalla - South Coast NSW 🙌🏻

Winners are announced on Thursday, November 27!

As appreciation for oysters – and the native Rock Oyster in particular – continues to grow, we're thrilled to be a part of the story.

🏆 We’re thrilled to share that the has won the 2025 Eurobodalla Business Award for Outstanding Visitor Experience – two years in a row!

What an honour to be recognised alongside so many incredible local businesses and organisations. Saturday night was a true celebration of our region! We learnt more about each other’s passions, shared stories, and felt deeply proud of the place we call home.

This award belongs to everyone who makes the Festival what it is, our amazing volunteers and board, generous sponsors, trusted suppliers, supportive stakeholders, talented performers and, of course, our wonderful guests.

It was also a special moment for our team. This year’s Festival, our 18th, was the last with our extraordinary Narooma Rocks Chair, Cath Peachey, at the helm. After 16 years of volunteer service to the festival, Cath will leave on a high note, and with our deepest gratitude and admiration. Her commitment to raising the profile of the Rock Oyster, Narooma and the Eurobodalla has seen the Festival grow to become the biggest food and wine event in southern regional NSW, and Australia's most iconic Shellar Door – and we’re so proud to continue building on that legacy.

Thank you also, to Eurobodalla Council and the Awards judges for your belief in what we do and for helping us showcase the very best of Narooma and the South Coast.

We're off to the State Awards!

Following on from our win at the Eurobodalla Business Awards, we were thrilled to receive Outstanding Visitor Experience for the at the Far South Coast Business Awards on Friday night. Narooma Rocks Chair Cath Peachey and Director Tim Gilbo were on hand to collect the award, with the rest of the team travelling home after an exciting few days at the NSW Oyster Conference, where they caught up with many of the oyster farmers who support the festival.

It's wonderful to see the work of the team, our amazing volunteers and sponsors recognised, and we couldn't do it without the amazing NSW oyster farmers.

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists, we are in fabulous company and loved seeing the broader community celebrating their hard work.
