The Shed Nanango

The Shed Nanango This is to keep you informed of happenings at The Shed. We hold a music jam most Friday nights, this is a sharing of music not a performance of music.

I just thought I would give you a little feedback on eating out because I recently went out to Barkers Creek previously known as copper country. I went there for breakfast last Sunday and had the most beautiful omelette that I’ve had in this area. Highly recommend. Jane Erkens.

Getting a bit of improvements done. Hope to be up and open again in the New Year.

For all who are wondering what has happened with the Shed? There were a couple of written complaints sent into Council.. These complaints were that the Shed did not have the correct zoning to hold music events and also the building was not up to specification. The complaints were not because of any noise or behaviour problems. Because I am on Council I felt I was obliged to comply with Council directions and have closed the shed. I will now be working with Council to see what exactly is required to make the shed compliant. This will be a slow process as expenses carried by myself and my family. I will keep you informed of progress. We currently have the electrician working on wiring.

First night back after Christmas break and a great rollup.

If I don’t see some of the community at Parkrun this morning, I hope to see you up at Ringsfield House. After the market pop in for Devonshire tea served on the Veranda overlooking the beautiful gardens. Check out the art gallery, tour the home or just enjoy the music at the coach house. Hope to see you there.

A big thank you to those who helped us put on Halloween tonight. Without your great support we could not have managed. A special thank you to Johan and Charmaine.

Can’t win a trick tonight.

Well a big day in front of my trustee Halloween Helpers. We will be meeting at the Shed from 2.30 to set up. Bring your kids down after 6.30 to check out our great display, pick up their bag of lollies, show off their scary costumes and their dance moves.

I am still in Council and won’t be back to The Shed for getting any halloween set up. I think that we have it under control. Be great to have some help tomorrow.
