Sadly one of our favorite places to kick on after Chrome events is shutting down... Having had their own periods of closure and unrest, may the deity's of closing down rug sales bless them as they have us!

The final season of Cube is here. After 20 unforgettable years, Cube Nightclub will be closing its doors at the end of this year.

This isn’t just a farewell to a venue, it’s the close of an era that helped define Canberra’s nightlife and LGBTQIA+ culture. For over two decades, Cube has been more than a club, it’s been a sanctuary, a celebration, and a second home. From the artists to the staff, the drag royalty to the DJs, the lovers, the misfits, the first-timers and the faithful regulars—every one of you shaped what Cube became. Together, we created something unforgettable.

So, while we prepare to say goodbye, we’re not going quietly. In the months ahead, we’ll be revisiting some of Cube’s most iconic events, bringing back the energy, the sparkle, and the community that made it all so special. With a stacked lineup of our favourite DJs, drag performers, and creators, we’ll be celebrating the legacy of Cube—loud, proud, and together.

Let’s give Cube the send-off it deserves. 🖤🏳️‍🌈

Good friend of CHROME, DJ Black Temple will be spinning at the huge farewell for Reload Bar & Games on Saturday from 8pm! We’ll be there hanging out (begging him to play some goth club bangers just for us 😉) to help send Reload off in style - we hope to see you there too!

🤜 CHROME VS RAVE CAVE TONIGHT 🤛

As our last event with and coming up to their final week of trade, it felt appropriate to make something special in-theme (with a bonus cameo from Reload’s ever vigilant head of security Marc.)

Doors open from 8pm, 15 bucks at the door (or book your ticket before doors open for a sneaky free drink on arrival 😉)

And just because it’s our last night with Reload, if you show up wearing a Mortal Kombat cosplay (and it meets the approval of Marc at the door) we’ll give you free entry 💪

🔥 SET TIMES ARE LIVE 🔥

For our last event with Reload, we wanted to do something special.
For half the night, we’ll be giving each DJ the spotlight to show you what they’re made of. As for the second half of the night we’re going full cage-match with a free-for-all Battle Royale! DJs will be tagging each other in, and they’ll be going back-to-back against one another.

It’s going to be madness, no one is going to be sure what’s coming next, and we cannot wait.
