Lake Awoonga is an absolutely beautiful, totally safe waterway, fisherpersons chase the enormous Barras others just enjoy the peace, serenity & beautiful vistas. is very large waterway which includes Awoonga Dam, it is 1.7 times the size of Sydney Harbour. The Awoonga Dam Spillway went over on the 12/12/2010 for the first time since the Dam Wall was raised in 2002 - this is a great sight to behold, it went over for the second time on the 28/01/2012 and at this point in time (11/02/2012) it is still going over. Fleet include Houseboats, Fishing Boats, Bar-B-Q Boat, Kayaks, Canoes and Paddleboats.
