Beneath open blue skies and drifting clouds, The Church on the Hill stands quietly above Old Noarlunga.

We hope you can drop by the hill, especially now that it’s getting cooler and more comfortable to walk around the grounds.

Traditions don’t appear overnight, they are shaped slowly, through years of shared moments.

The Church on the Hill stands as a reflection of that passage of time. Every stone, every gathering, every memory has contributed to the traditions that live on today.

As restoration continues, we honour not just the building, but the history that makes it meaningful to so many families in Old Noarlunga.

We understand that many visitors are eager to step inside The Church on the Hill.

At this time, access is limited while careful restoration is underway to protect the structure and preserve its historic features. These works are essential to ensuring the church can be safely reopened in the future.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we carry out this important process. We look forward to welcoming you inside again when the restoration is complete.

We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us for our last guided tour for this year’s History Month.

Last Saturday began with rain, and for a while we wondered if the weather would allow us to explore the grounds. But just in time, the clouds parted, the sun emerged, and we were able to share the stories, history, and beauty of this special place.

To everyone who attended, asked questions, shared memories, and showed such genuine interest in preserving our local history — thank you.

We're also grateful to the volunteers and supporters who helped make these tours possible. Every conversation, every story shared, and every visitor who walked the grounds helped keep the history of The Church and Cemetery on The Hill alive.

Thank you for coming through for us. We hope to welcome many of you back again soon.
