McGettigan’s Golf Society was established in September 2012 providing beginners and advanced golfers the opportunity to play on some of the UAEs finest golf courses at discounted rates and also on a sociable, enjoyable and competitive level. Our outings are held on a monthly basis across the UAE and competition formats vary from singles, doubles to team events. Key events throughout the year inclu

des annual trips to Abu Dhabi (Yas Links), Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah as well as the Captain’s Day event which is held at the Els Club every September. Since 2012, we have seen the interest grow rapidly with over 250 golfers (From all different Nationalities – Irish, English, Scottish, Welsh, South African, Indian, Australian, American) now registered on the society database. We have a very strong reputation regarding the social side of our society days and support our key sponsor McGettigan’s by returning to the bar after outings for meals/drinks and prize givings. Dear Members,

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr Eugene Mc Gettigan , a cherished founding member and honorary president of our Golf Society. Eugene was not only a pivotal figure in our community but also a devoted father to his three beloved sons, Barry, Rory, and Ryan Mc Gettigan, who are all esteemed members of our society.

Many cherished memories were made with Eugene on the golf courses across Dubai, where his presence was a true delight. Our heartfelt condolences extend to his extended family and all those who knew and loved him.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
