Last year, celebrated its 140 anniversary. For that occasion, the Maison presented several new Octo and Octo finissimo, including 3 limited editions pencilled by with dials featuring a movement sketch. And I must say, the outcome is a very pleasant timepiece, both original and fun, yet very simple to wear, no matter your outfit. A great way to elevate a street wear style or to tone down a strict business style silhouette.

Memories of Dubai Watch Week 2023, which took place a few months after Louis Vuitton revamped its Tambour watch with a new slimmer case, and a very interesting integration of the bracelet, bringing this timepiece a very classy and elegant twist, moving away from the full sporty look often seen with integrated case/bracelet watches!

This is a watch you won’t cross path with very often since only 7 were produced. A watch I actually only had the chance to see once, in 2022, during Time to Watches exhibition in Geneva, when I met XRby founder, Xavier Rousset.

I must say I was quite pleased to discover this creation, for multiple reasons. First, I didn’t know this very niche brand at that time, and it is always great to discover new initiatives in the watch world. Also, the dial was made by Rose Saneuil, with whom I collaborated long ago on very special timepieces! And I was very happy to see where her creative path was leading her!

Limited edition of 7 pieces as I said before, but first and foremost, a stunning dial made of 214 pieces and numerous materials, such as wood, rye straw, leather, mother-of-pearl and beetle elytra to create a resplendent Quetzal bird.

I discovered when living in Hong Kong through watch friends. The brand was just a few years old, if not months. Yet, it was already getting attention and attraction among watch lovers with minimalistic vintage designs (not to mention very sweet prices). The attention continues, a the young brand recently opened a boutique in Paris, a few steps away from the iconic Place Vendôme.

I must say this MR Classic Saumon is really candy for this eyes.

Every edition of is not only a celebration of watchmaking, it is also a unique opportunity to see again many friends from the industry, discover their latest projets and, of course, try some timepieces that you don’t cross often, such as this Piccadilly, featuring HM, small seconds and retrograde date at 2’, and a 24-hour second time zone at 9 o’clock. Thanks for the try!

I might have been inspired by all the posts with amazing blue sky backgrounds, and probably been influenced by the sudden drop of temperature in ! Winter is coming! So, a bit of summer vibes was clearly needed!

I took this one in July 2024 while visiting team in Switzerland. The pristine lake of Neuchâtel offered the ideal summery and laidback background to put the Chronograph grey edition on the wrist. It was, back then, not launched yet, since the release happened post summer! Yet, the pleasure of wearing a chrono with the legendary El Primero is intact!
